SkySafari is a versatile planetarium application that offers an extensive range of features suitable for stargazing enthusiasts. Through its user-friendly interface, users can effortlessly explore planets, constellations, satellites, and the vast expanse of stars and deep sky objects. The app provides the convenience of Augmented Reality (AR) mode, enabling the overlay of a simulated sky chart onto the real-time view of one's surroundings. Additionally, the OneSky feature offers the unique opportunity to observe what other users are currently viewing.

Version 7 enhances the stargazing experience with complete compatibility with iOS 17 and iPhone 15, introducing an array of new functionalities:

<li>OneSky: Observe objects highlighted by other users in real-time, displaying the number of observers for each object.</li>
<li>Sky Tonight: Access the Tonight section for insights on celestial phenomena visible in the current night sky, including Moon & Sun information and optimal deep sky and solar system object positions.</li>
<li>Orbit Mode: Explore planets, moons, and stars by navigating away from Earth.</li>
<li>Guided Audio Tours: Listen to over four hours of narrated content covering celestial history, mythology, and science.</li>
<li>Galaxy View: Visualize the three-dimensional positioning of stars and deep sky objects within our Milky Way galaxy.</li>
<li>Pronounce: Utilize the pronunciation guide to correctly articulate the names of celestial objects.</li>
</ul>

Features available for new users include dynamic star chart updates based on movements, eclipse simulation capabilities, celestial event animations via Time Flow, informative object descriptions, NASA imagery access, event notifications through Sky Calendar, extensive sky object database, meteor shower animations, night vision mode support, integration with Apple Maps for location selection, customizable Horizon Panoramas, advanced search functions, and more.

For additional functionalities such as telescope control and an expanded deep sky database, users can upgrade to SkySafari 7 Plus or SkySafari 7 Pro. Supplementing these offerings is the SkySafari Premium Subscription unlocking premium features like a comprehensive deep sky database, event notifications with curated content, connected stargazing capabilities, a light pollution map, and more.
